1. Controller and contact

No data protection officer has been appointed. Privacy questions and requests can also be sent to the address above.

2. Website data

The website does not operate advertising, profiling, account registration, or a contact form. It does not intentionally set non-essential cookies or use website analytics.

When you visit the website, GitHub Pages and its delivery infrastructure may process technical request data such as your IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser and device information, response status, and security events. This is necessary to deliver and protect the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure public website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To display prices in your local currency, the plans page may ask the geolocation service api.country.is for an approximate country, which receives your IP address to answer. The website stores no identifier from this lookup; if the lookup is unavailable or the country is unknown, prices fall back to US dollars.

Website screenshots, icons, and other assets are served from this website. External links to Google Play, GitHub, and other services only transfer you to those services when you follow them. Those services process data under their own privacy policies.

3. Local app data

JustBooth is designed to work offline and without a JustBooth account. Photos, event sessions, application settings, preferences, branding, and other app data are stored locally on your device or in files and galleries that you choose to use.

The app communicates with a connected Olympus camera over your local Wi-Fi network using the camera address configured by you. These camera-control requests are intended to remain on your local network. Photos may also be sent to printing or sharing applications selected by you, or saved to the device gallery.

JustBooth does not upload photos, event galleries, camera images, or app settings to an Emanuele Viglianisi or JustBooth server. When you print, share, save, or upload a photo using another app or service, that recipient processes the photo under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. Firebase Analytics

The Android application uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, to understand aggregate app usage and improve reliability and features. The configured events do not intentionally contain names, email addresses, photos, or other directly identifying content.

The events include:

• photo_session_started, including the selected camera type.
• photo_taken.
• photo_saved and photo_save_failed.
• photo_shared and photo_printed, including the selected print route where applicable.
• retake_tapped.
• camera_error, with a short error description truncated to 100 characters.

Firebase and Google may also automatically process device, app, and usage information. The advertising identifier permission is removed from the application. Analytics data is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. Where consent is legally required for analytics, analytics must only be enabled after the relevant consent has been obtained.

5. Google Play billing

JustBooth offers Personal and Business subscriptions through Google Play. Google Play processes the Google account, payment, device, and transaction information needed to complete and manage a subscription. JustBooth does not receive or store payment card details.

The app may receive the product, subscription, and purchase status needed to unlock the selected plan. Google Play processes its own payment and store data under Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Support messages

If you email JustBooth, we process your email address, message, attachments, technical headers, and any information you choose to include. This is used to answer your request, investigate bugs, provide customer support, and protect legal interests. The legal basis is taking steps at your request, performing a contract where relevant, and legitimate interests in support and service security (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and, where applicable, to meet legal record-keeping or limitation periods.

7. Recipients and international transfers

Depending on how you use JustBooth, recipients may include GitHub Pages for website delivery, api.country.is for the approximate-country lookup used to localize prices, Google and Firebase Analytics, Google Play for distribution and billing, and the email providers used for support. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under their own terms and applicable transfer safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

8. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

You may exercise these rights by contacting the controller above. You may also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at).

9. Retention and required data

Personal data is retained only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, to provide support or subscription services, to resolve disputes, and to comply with legal obligations. Data stored locally by the app remains under your control until you delete it, uninstall the app, or delete the relevant files.

Providing personal data is generally voluntary. Without technical request data the website cannot be delivered; without support message details a support request cannot be handled; and without Google Play account and transaction processing a subscription cannot be completed or restored.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated when the website, application, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page with its effective date.
